BIG LIT SHOW
coming to Philly on

July 16th!

Many underground/DIY writers will be in town the
weekend of Philadelphia's Zinefest-- including
legendary author Jack Saunders, gearing up for the
release of his new book, BUKOWSKI NEVER DID THIS.
To help celebrate the gathering of our underground
tribe, we're throwing a Special Event--
combination Reading and Book kickoff party! No
cover! Free admission!

When: Saturday, July 16, 2005,
from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Where: Medusa Lounge, 27 South 21st St. (21st at
Chestnut). Philadelphia's famed underground rock
club! "The most exclusive dive bar ever!"

Who: Among those scheduled to appear are Jackie
Corley, Frank Walsh, Wred Fright, Natalie Felix,
Michael Grover, Crazy Carl Robinson, Brady
Russell, Shawn Terreri, Devin D'Andrea, "The
Student" and "The Masked Professor," and other
talents local and national. Photos of some
literary luminaries who plan to attend are stacked
in the red column on your left.

The reading will be capped off by The Man himself,
southern roots/folk writer JACK SAUNDERS, author
of over 260 novels!

This event will be fast-moving and fun. ALL ARE
WELCOME for the Lit Party of the Millennium as
only undergrounders know how to do it...

On Sunday, July 17th,
the ULA will participate in the
Philly Zinefest's tabling &
workshop events from noon to 6
p.m. @ the Rotunda, 4014 Walnut St

Big Jack Saunders will conduct a workshop on
internet publishing, and will discuss his upcoming
book from LitVision Press, Bukowski Never Did
This: A Year in the Life of An Underground Writer
& His Family!

ULAers including King Wenclas, Joe Smith (Red
Roach Press), Frank Walsh, Pat King, and Pat
Simonelli (LitVision Press) will also be on hand,
manning our tables and having fun. Stop
by and say "Hello" or "Well met, good fellow!"
